Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk, an assisted living and memory support community managed by EPOCH Senior Living, has earned Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ accreditation!
Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ standards assess an organization’s ability to provide collaborative care in a safe, functional, and respectful environment to help ensure not only the quality of care but the quality of life. Accredited communities have demonstrated adherence to 60 standards of care and extensive training practices for the care of individuals living with dementia, and have embraced and implemented a person-centered plan for all residents.
The community held a flag-raising ceremony on June 26th, 2023, to commemorate the achievement. In attendance were Christopher Carter, President of Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) as well as the community’s staff, dozens of residents, family members and local eldercare professionals. See what other Purple Flag communities have to say about becoming accredited.
“We’re honored to see Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk fly the Purple Flag,” said Carter, “It’s truly a testament to all of the hard work and dedication they’ve put into their accreditation and that they will continue to demonstrate in their memory care going forward.”
“On June 26th, we were able to host a wonderful event with local officials, Epoch Senior Living Senior Management members, local professionals, families and residents to officially receive our Purple Flag to raise proudly at our community. We are incredibly honored to have earned this recognition through CALA and ISLE as one of the leaders in Dementia care. We strive every day to provide the highest level of services to our residents and are honored to have this recognized with the Purple Flag Accreditation,” said Addie Ricci, Executive Director at Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk.
Bridges by EPOCH Norwalk is the latest organization to receive Purple Flag accreditation. They’re preceded by Waterstone on High Ridge and Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk, which received accreditation on June 14th and June 23rd, respectively.
Congratulations to Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk!
