60 Standards of Memory Care: Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull Awarded Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ Accreditation

Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull, an assisted living and memory support community managed by EPOCH Senior Living, has earned Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ accreditation after achieving the 60 standards of memory care!

Purple Flag for Dementia Care™ standards assess an organization’s ability to provide collaborative care in a safe, functional, and respectful environment to help ensure not only the quality of care but the quality of life. Accredited communities have demonstrated adherence to 60 standards of memory care and extensive training practices for the care of individuals living with dementia, and have embraced and implemented a person-centered plan for memory care residents.

Raising of the Purple Flag

The community held a flag-raising ceremony on June 23rd, 2023, to commemorate the achievement. In attendance were Trish Keaney, Executive Director of Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull, and Alicia Seaver, Dementia Specialist, both of whom spoke at the event, alongside Christopher Carter, President of Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) as well as the community’s staff, dozens of residents, family members and local eldercare professionals.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce today’s recipient of Purple Flag for Dementia Care accreditation is Bridges by Epoch Trumbull, Epoch Senior Living’s second community to be accredited this month!” said Carter at the event. “Please join us in congratulating Trish Keaney and the entire team at Bridges by Epoch Trumbull! “

Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull is the latest organization to receive Purple Flag accreditation. They’re preceded by Waterstone on High Ridge, which received accreditation on June 14th, and followed by Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk, which received theirs on June 26th, respectively.

Congratulations to Bridges by EPOCH at Trumbull for their commitment to a person-centered plan for memory care residents that benefits both the residents and their families!

ABOUT EPOCH SENIOR LIVING

EPOCH Senior Living was founded in 1997 by senior living professional Laurence Gerber, who had a vision of redefining the senior healthcare and assisted living industry in the New England area. With the acquisition of CMI Senior Housing, a long-established senior care provider in the area, his vision of a campus continuum came to fruition. What began as a group of high-quality skilled healthcare centers in the Boston area has transformed to a regionally focused, comprehensive senior living organization that is recognized as the residence of choice for seniors and families in the markets we serve – whether the need is independent living, assisted living or memory care.
